Small Beginnings

 

I'm Chelsea, the creator & pottery artist of Wild Fern Clayworks. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist by day and a part-time potter by night. Wild Fern Clayworks began as a hobby, taking a few classes from a community studio in 2020. From the very start, I was in awe of the way a lump of clay can be transformed into a functional piece of art. I devoured as many videos from fellow potters that I could get my hands on. Even a few books, shout out to Jon the potter, I learned so much from him.  I began experimenting with throwing on a tiny wheel in my living room. Thankfully Ive been able to upgrade my work space & equipment since then!

In the fall of 2020 I decided to share my clay journey on social media & it quickly evolved into Wild Fern Clayworks! As my business expanded I recently chose to venture into the world of e-commerce, so I'm brand new to the online selling playing field. And I think that about catches you up to speed on my journey thus far....
